Combustion and Energy can supply wide range of flame scanners with UV, IR and combined UV/IR sensors, with or without integrated amplifier.
The brands we can supply are IRIS and Honeywell, for safe and explosion proof application.
The flame scanners are divided into several categories:
(UV) Ultraviolet detectors work by detecting the UV radiation emitted at the instant of ignition. UV detectors typically operate with wavelengths shorter than 300nm to minimize the effects of natural background radiation;
(IR) Infrared flame detectors monitor the infrared spectral band for specific patterns given by hot gases;
(UV/IR) Ultraviolet/Infrared detectors are sensitive to both UV and IR wavelengths, and detect flame by comparing the threshold signal of both ranges. This helps minimize false alarms.
