Occidental Permian North Hobbs flare in New Mexico (US) is marked by LUXSOLAR products; specifically, due to the height (higher than 45mt) and the fact that the structure has no marking for daytime signalling, the Aircraft Warning Light system is composed of MIOL-A type lights (20.000cd white flashing during the day and 2.000cd white flashing at night) suitable for safe area.
The ICAO regulations require that obstacle lights are always accessible for maintenance, in this case the flare project did not include stairs and walkways, therefore at the customer's request, LUXSOLAR also supplied its own lowering system that allows to manually lower the lights from the top of the flare (about 53m high) to the ground and vice versa.
