From the winter season 2018/2019, the world tallest cableway is open in Zermatt. It can be easily reach from Cervinia in Italy or directly from Switzerland.
The Cableway is installed at 3,883 meters above sea level and to indicate the presence of the pylon was chosen a high intensity beacon code L856-LXS from Luxsolar.
The beacon has an intensity of 200.000cd with a light emissione of 360 degree and can work at a minimum temperature of -20°C.
The installed lamp does not fear the adverse weather conditions and the presence of strong winds, thanks to the brilliantly exceeded wind tests, the lamp can withstand up to 240Km / h (150 MPH) and vibrations of 80m / s equivalent to 10° Mercalli intensity scale and 7° Richter Magnitude scale.
